The summer program at The Learning Center (TLC) is an academic camp providing reading and writing instruction to students in grades one through eight. Instruction is designed to meet the needs of students with language-based learning differences (dyslexia, dysgraphia, etc.) who experience difficulty with reading, writing, and/or spelling. Students may attend one or all of the sessions. The program is open to all students and does not require formal testing to attend.

Students will be taught in small, targeted groups by teachers who can meet the individual needs of each child’s learning profile. The program is designed to supply students with a springboard to begin the upcoming academic year without neglecting summer fun.

        • Student to teacher ratio is 6:1
        • Reading, Writing, and Spelling instruction is structured and multisensory
        • Qualified teachers trained in visual, auditory, and tactile learning
        • Individual student summaries are provided to families at the end of each week
        • Students will be supplied with all necessary materials and snack is included
